MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines will aim to remain in the Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Zone Group I when it goes against South Korea beginning Friday in the second round play-offs.

The Philippine squad is composed of Vicente Elberto Anasta, Johnny Arcilla, Treat Huey and playing team captain Cecil Mamiit.

The South Korean team will be captained by Kim Nam-Hoon. The players are Lim Yong-Kyu, Jeong Suk-Young, Kim Hyun-Joon and Seol Jae-Min.
The Philippines vs South Korea tie will be played at the Chanwon Municipal Tennis Courts in Changwon City. The surface is hard court.
In July, the Philippines lost to Chinese Taipei, 1-4, and South Korea was defeated by Uzbekistan, 2-3, in the Asia/Oceania Zone Group I first round play-offs.
South Korea holds a 5-3 lead over the Philippines in the head-to-head standings.
