DLS-Lipa routs SPC Dribblers - NCAA South

MANILA, Philippines - De La Salle-Lipa (DLS-L) outclassed San Pablo Colleges (SPC), 76-70, to take the solo lead in the 12th NCAA South men’s basketball tournament Sunday at the FAITH campus in Tanauan, Batangas.
Christopher Abila scored 24 points while Mikael Albert Raz added 14 points to lead the Green Chevrons to their third straight victory, one game ahead of pursuing San Beda College-Alabang and Perpetual Help-Laguna.
The Red Lions leaned on their height advantage against Letran-Laguna to fashion out a 73-63 victory, their second in as many outings.
Lorenzo Victorino and James Panaligan scored 19 and 17, respectively, for SBCA, which handed the Knights their third straight setback.
For their part, the Perpetual Saints went 2-0 after repulsing Philippine Christian University-Dasmarinas, 97-94.
The Saints squandered an eight-point lead in the fourth but Marc Gerard Arciaga scored on a layup with 27.29 seconds left to lift the team to victory.

Defending champion Don Bosco Technical College-Mandaluyong, meanwhile, bounced back from its 50-63 loss to Perpetual Help last Saturday as it hacked out a 73-72 win over newcomer University of Batangas for a 2-1 card.
Earvin Josel Jose shot five of his game-high 23 points in the stretch as the Greywolves bucked the absence of forward Bjorn Andrei Casibang in pulling off the win.
Meanwhile, SBCA routed Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Calamba, 81-55, to get the top view in the juniors competitions with 2-0.
The Red Cubs drew a combined 44 points from Ramon Dichoso, Ryan Danac and Thaddeus Ballada to score a follow-up to their 104-41 demolition of SPC.
