9-Stag derby starts Oct. 14

Cockfighting enthusiasts are girding for the two-week long Negros Gamefowl Breeders Association “P9 Million 9-Stag Derby” on Oct.14 at the Romeo G. Guanzon Multi-Purpose Coliseum in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.

It will feature the best battle birds of the province and other parts of the country in this year’s most-prestigious event.



The first stage of the 3-stag elimination phase will be on Oct.14, 15 and 16, and the second on Oct.18, 19 and 20.

The last days are Oct. 22, 23 and 24.

RGG Reynaldo Dequilla said entries that scored two wins in the elimination rounds will figure in the semi-final non-stop slashing action on Oct.26, 27 and 28, where the winners will proceed to in the pre-finals on Oct.30.
Entries that posted 3.5 to 6.0 points will vie for the grand prize in the 3-stags championship on Oct.31.
Registration fee is at P 23,500.*HLGarciniego
